While laying in bed on a workout high, frankincense burned upon a glass tray on top of the bedside night stand next to me. "Juice" by Lizzo off of her current album entitled Cuz I Love You played on repeat in the background. It was the last day of my 10 day detox. It also happened to be the last super full moon of the year that took place in the twelfth sign of Pisces, a mutable water sign, known for its creativity, sensuality and imagination. This signs higher goal is to achieve emotional and spiritual harmony. The Piscines' aspirations are demonstrated through acts of generosity.
It was a pretty emotional end of the day for me on top of wanting to eat the Mac and Cheese my son cooked the night before, fortunately I was able to stay committed to finishing my 10 day cleanse strong. At this point, I wanted to take a back seat to the emotions I was feeling and address why I was feeling this way to begin with. Sometimes we can get so wrapped up in what we think is going wrong in our lives, that we forget what's going right. That's why it is so important to operate in a state of continual gratitude daily. My goal ultimately is to purge my mind of the negatives that we all can face at times and fill it back up with some positivity and kindness with the use of affirmations because our own self-talk can become very damaging if not addressed properly. This I call cleansing the mind. The mind is a very powerful tool, that everyone should truly understand how to use. It's full potential is limitless. Here are some affirmations I have been using recently. They are my go-to if I start feeling down or begin to have negative self talk. It's all about having a healthy mind because that's fundamentally where the life we are all living beings.

By the time I completed this 10 day cleanse I was down 11 lbs, lost 4 inches off my waist, and my energy level had skyrocketed. I am by no means saying it was easy because it was indeed a bit of a challenge. I am planning another cleanse at the end of April. This time, with a better follow through in my transition back to eating healthy whole foods that will maintain my health and fitness goals.
